I just love a beautiful church wedding ceremony. I grew up in the church and it always makes me emotional to see couples married under God. Vanessa & Alejandro got married at St John the Baptist Church in King City. They are one of the sweetest couples and their day was so very special.

Vanessa & Alejandro got ready at their home nearby. With a lot of communication we made sure they did not see each other as we took their getting ready portraits. While they remained separated, their loved ones put together a lovely reception in the backyard for after the Ceremony. I was not there to capture their reception but I heard it was great. Originally Alejandro & Vanessa were planning to have a large reception next year with ALL their loved ones, but decided they no longer need one. Their ceremony and small reception was all they needed to celebrate their new marriage.

I am so excited for their new journey and wish them the very best!

How MY Night Ended

King City is about a 2.5 hour drive from my home. When I was all finished after the ceremony, I was heading home and got about 5 miles away and I heard a bang and my car started moving funny. I pulled over and found my tire had popped! I am so far from home, in a small city I am unfamiliar with, with all my camera gear in the car. Of course I panicked and had a mini anxiety attack, but I pulled myself together and changed out the tire for my spare. I impressed myself that I could even do that! It was 4:59pm and the only tire shop in town closed at 5pm. So my husband called ahead and they luckily stayed open, changed out my tire, and I was finally able to head home. What a way to end my night!
