Julia Morgan Redwood Grove: A Rain-or-Shine Love Story

Chance and Natalie’s wedding at Julia Morgan Redwood Grove kicked off with a twist—rain! With everything planned outdoors, the morning felt like a nail-biter. But as if the universe had wedding magic up its sleeve, the rain stopped by noon, just in time to set up for the big day. Cue a collective sigh of relief and the start of an unforgettable celebration!

Details to Delight the Eye

Natalie didn’t just plan a wedding—she created a masterpiece. Everywhere you looked, there was something beautiful and personal to admire. The florals, a literal garden of dreams, were designed by Natalie’s aunt, making them extra special. The serene venue setting, with redwoods in the distance and a dried riverbed nearby, framed the day perfectly.

A Warm and Whimsical Welcome

Guests arrived to find a setup straight out of a fairytale. A floral-clad cloth welcome sign greeted them, and an old-school phone let guests leave recorded messages for the couple. Add paper fans, parasols, a champagne wall, and live violin music, and you’ve got a wedding entrance that could double as a Pinterest board

A Vintage Entrance and Vow Exchange

Natalie’s arrival in a vintage car with her dad was a showstopper moment—cue all the happy tears! The ceremony unfolded with the redwoods standing tall in the backdrop, creating a picturesque and romantic scene. As they exchanged heartfelt vows, their love filled the space, leaving everyone feeling the emotion of the moment.

Portraits with Chemistry and Charm

After the ceremony, we began with the wedding party portraits, where parasols took center stage. These whimsical and practical accessories added a playful elegance to the group shots, perfectly capturing the lively energy of the day. The parasols were a hit, adding charm and a pop of personality to every photo.

We then shifted focus and took bride and groom portraits that were the stuff of romance novels. Their love practically sparkled in front of the camera, especially with the vintage car adding a touch of timeless charm. The distant redwoods added depth and beauty to the setting, creating a whimsical and serene vibe for their photos.

Party Time Under the Trees

When Chance and Natalie made their grand reception entrance, the crowd went wild with cheers, napkin twirls, and applause. The toasts brought laughs, a few sniffles, and lots of heartfelt moments. Their first dance? A romantic highlight that felt like the world had paused just for them

A Little Mischief and A Lot of Fun

Natalie wowed in her second look—a chic satin party dress with a high neckline and low back. She tossed her bouquet, while Chance turned the garter toss into a mini-performance, complete with a cheeky dance and a dive for the garter by his groomsmen. The whole thing was pure joy, with laughter and cheers all around.

Let’s Dance!

As the night wore on, the dance floor stayed packed with guests dancing their hearts out under the twinkling stars. It was a celebration filled with so much love, laughter, and unforgettable moment.
