Sbragia Family Vineyards Wedding | Emily + George

A beautiful venue with a stunning view. Sbragia Family Vineyards Wedding venue has just that. Emily and George chose this location because of the amazing view and the photographic opportunities.

Their ceremony and reception dinner both held outside with this great view of the hills and vineyards for their guests to enjoy. The row of dinner tables decorated with floating candles, greenery, and blue vintage glasses, made for the perfect dinner setting. The wind was strong, but it didn’t stop everyone from having the best time. They didn’t have any dancing, but instead spent the night socializing and catching up with their closest family and friends.

How They Met

“We met in college at Sonoma State where we worked together on campus and eventually started dating. Georgie was a year ahead of me in school so, he made a point to drive 1.5 hours to spend every other weekend with me during my senior year. This lasted through when I started my Master’s program and we both had moved back in with our parents, eventually moving in together in 2019. Rright before the pandemic lockdown started.

He proposed on a hike at Eagle Falls in Tahoe, CA. This was the first hike we went on together and he wanted to take me to the top-most point to get down on one knee. The funny thing is, he bought a tripod and kept setting it up in different places to “take a good picture of us”. This was VERY unlike him because he doesn’t like taking pictures, so I had a good feeling as to what was about to happen.

He had set-up the tripod at at least 5 different places on the hike before he found the right one where he could propose. As he wanted the best view, he had us climb up onto this hill/rock area that was completely comprised of loose dirt and rocks. He proposed and, after I said yes, we went to hike back down the trail. However, I slipped on the loose rocks & dirt and promptly fell. The first thing Georgie exclaimed was “IS THE RING OKAY?!?” He’ll never live that down.
