This was an emotional and inspiring wedding and love story! Cody is serving in the US Navy and has been overseas in Japan. McKenna had been in Florida getting her degree all while planning their wedding here in California. She picked a great team of vendors to make their wedding gorgeous and magical. They got married at The Bridges Golf Club Wedding venue. It overlooks the golf course and San Ramon hills. The day was absolutely beautiful with blue skies, scattered clouds, and perfect weather. Many of their family and friends traveled from afar to be here for their joyous day.
Cody flew in just for their wedding and everyone was happy to have him home. It was the first time in 3 years that he has seen his brother, who is serving in the US Army. His dad who is newly retired from the US Air Force could not be more proud and happy to have his two boys home and together again. It was quite the family reunion for such a special occasion.
First Touch
Cody and McKenna had a first touch where they were able to let out some nerves and hold each other before they say ‘I Do’. It was a sweet moment and they showed a little bit of their goofy side which was fun to watch. They have the great chemistry and it really shows in their portraits, but having witnessed their love was so amazing.
The Ceremony
Cody had the best reaction when seeing McKenna come down the aisle. He got overpowered with emotion and was in complete awe of his gorgeous bride. His reaction was so incredibly sweet and it was amazing to have witnessed and captured that moment. Once at the altar, Cody looked up into the sky and had one of those moments of just ‘WOW’.
They read personal vows, shared some laughs, at one point Cody even poked McKenna’s adorable dimples, and then at last, they were married!! Coming down the aisle they skipped in joy as they are now officially husband and wife. Their wedding was just full of the cutest moments.
Reception
After the ceremony, we hopped on a golf cart for portraits, which of course is always fun. McKenna and Cody’s portraits are some of my favorites ever. Their love is just so pure and it really shows. They gave some killer looks and every picture had that ‘wow’ factor. We caught some golden hour glow right as we were finishing up and it was just a perfect day for portraits.
To celebrate their marriage, they had a delicious family style dinner, great speeches, and lots of dancing. During the speeches, you could sense how much love was in the room. McKenna and Cody are so very lucky to have so many important people in their lives, and so many who came from afar to make it to their wedding. The dance floor was completely full all night long, and everyone was having the best night.
Very thankful for Cody, and his military family for their service. I am so very happy for McKenna and Cody and excited for their future together.
