The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap Wedding | Gabi + Josh

There’s something really special about the kind of wedding day where everything just clicks, not only between the couple, but with everyone around them. That was exactly the energy surrounding Gabi and Josh from the very beginning of their The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap wedding.

From the moment I met Gabi, I knew this was going to be a fun one. She’s warm, outgoing, the kind of person who effortlessly hypes everyone around her. That energy carried into every part of their wedding day. It created an atmosphere that felt relaxed, joyful, and completely genuine. Which is exactly what I’m always hoping to capture as a San Francisco wedding photographer.

Their wedding at The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap brought all of those elements together so beautifully. Thoughtful details, meaningful moments, and a timeline that allowed them to truly be present.

Getting Ready at The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap

The morning started with a quiet kind of excitement as everything began to come together. Gabi had shared so many of her ideas with me leading up to the day. Seeing it all come to life—from the florals to the carefully chosen details—felt incredibly rewarding.

But more than anything, it was the feeling in the room that stood out. There was laughter, anticipation, and a sense that everyone there was fully invested in celebrating them. These are the kinds of moments that set the tone for the entire day.

A First Look That Made the Timeline Seamless

Choosing to do a first look gave Gabi and Josh the chance to slow down and be together before the ceremony, and it truly shaped the flow of their wedding day in the best way.

We were able to capture the majority of their portraits ahead of time, which meant that once cocktail hour began, they were actually able to enjoy it with their guests. That balance—beautiful portraits without sacrificing experience—is something I always guide my couples through as a San Francisco wedding photographer.

And while Josh may have caught on to my “just one more photo” promises, he leaned into it. The result was a gallery full of images that feel effortless, joyful, and completely true to them.

Outdoor Ceremony Overlooking the Golf Course

The ceremony at this The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap wedding took place outdoors. Overlooking the golf course with wide open views that made the entire setting feel both elevated and relaxed.

One of my favorite design elements was the floral installation at the altar. A stunning half-circle ground arrangement that framed the space beautifully without interrupting the view. It added just the right amount of texture and color while still allowing the natural backdrop to shine, creating a ceremony design that felt both refined and intentional.

At one point, even golfers passing by paused to watch and cheer, adding such a fun and unexpected layer to the moment. The ceremony itself was filled with heartfelt vows, laughter, and emotion you could truly feel as it was happening.

When they were finally pronounced husband and wife, Gabi’s excitement was undeniable—pure joy in its most honest form.

Heartfelt Toasts, Table Moments, and So Much Joy

As the evening unfolded at this The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap wedding, the energy shifted into something even more celebratory. One of those receptions where you could feel the joy in every corner of the room.

The toasts brought the perfect balance of emotion and laughter. There were moments that had everyone wiping away tears, followed immediately by bursts of laughter that filled the space. It was the kind of storytelling that only happens when the people closest to you step up and share just how much you’re loved.

As dinner wrapped up, Gabi and Josh made their way around the room, stopping at tables, hugging guests, sharing quick conversations, and truly soaking it all in. Those in-between moments—clinking glasses, genuine smiles, and shared laughter—are always some of my favorites to capture as a San Francisco wedding photographer.

A High-Energy Reception at The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap

When the dance floor opened, it didn’t take long before it filled up, and it stayed that way all night. Drinks in hand, guests fully present, and the kind of energy that just kept building. Glow sticks made their appearance and the music kept everyone moving. The entire space took on the feeling of a full-on celebration rather than a traditional reception.

This is the part of the day where everything really comes together. The people, the energy, the joy—and it’s exactly why I love what I do.

A Streamer-Filled Wedding Send-Off

To end the night, Gabi and Josh were sent off surrounded by their people, covered in streamers, and still riding the high of everything they had just experienced. It perfectly aligned with the entire day—joyful, a little wild, and completely unforgettable.
