This is one of those sessions that I just CANNOT get over! The location is stunning and Bree & Patrick are the sweetest couple. Carmel is a special place to them and they love coming from their hometown in Texas to visit. They love it so much that they just knew there was no better place than Carmel for their beach engagement photos!
Bree and Patrick met back in 2015 when she was attending an event at a local stadium. Patrick was playing baseball professionally and Bree happened to be seated near his base on the field. They caught each others eyes many times during the game and it was obvious they were into each other. They connected on Instagram and started a long distance relationship. After 2.5 years Bree moved to Texas to be with Patrick.
Patrick was ready to propose in January 2020, he got Bree’s dad permission, and planned a proposal that she had envisioned. Then our good old friend Covid came and disrupted everything, so Patrick had to postpone. After waiting for things to get better in the world, they realized her vision wasn’t going to happen and Patrick didn’t want to wait any longer. Accompanied by their dog, Patrick proposed at a place they love.
We started the session in the lovely downtown of Carmel by the Sea. If you have never been here, you have to go! You will feel like you’re in a storybook, where the shops and restaurants look like fairytale cottages. There is so much character everywhere, we walked the streets and just stopped at every cute spot we found (which there were A LOT).
An outfit change and a short walk later we were at the beach! The weather was beautiful and the beach wasn’t crowded. These Carmel Beach engagement photos are some of my all time favorites!! After delivering their gallery, I got the best response from Bree:
“Natalie, these pictures. I can’t find words. You made us feel so comfortable and these pictures are just absolutely priceless. Your editing is beyond PERFECT too (my picky self wanting to see beach and sky- you nailed it). I just can’t thank you enough. These are probably the first pictures that Patrick and I are both beyond obsessed with and my friends and family are sooo impressed with your work and are excited for you to take their pictures too lol. Thank you SO much! You are the best.”

Bree & Patrick love having cozy nights sharing dinner and wine with their friends and family. They enjoy hanging out by the lake, traveling, and playing casual sports. Best of all, they love spending their time golden retriever, Tucker!
