Weddings have changed so much in the last year…Many couples have either had to cancel or reschedule their special day. Estela & Evan had originally planned a big wedding, but with not knowing how things would be this year decided they didn’t want to wait. So they chose to elope!! The day had finally come and it could not have been a more gorgeous day for a Lake Tahoe Elopement in Emerald Bay. Although it wasn’t snowing like Estela had hoped, there was plenty of snow on the ground. The air was cold but the mixture of nerves, excitement, and adrenaline kept them warm.
For their ceremony, they had a quiet and secluded spot along the cliffs of Emerald Bay overlooking the water. I mean can you imagine a better place to elope?! As Estela came walking down toward Evan, she had the biggest smile and she looked so radiant. When Evan turned to see her, he was in complete awe! It was a beautiful and emotional moment when they locked eyes on each other.
They were surrounded by the most important people to them to celebrate their new marriage. We captured some gorgeous portraits in the snow and Estela’s cousins created some makeshift snowfall which ultimately ended with Estela & Evan covered in snow. It made for some fun photos and everyone was laughing and having a great time. After portraits we then headed back to their Airbnb where they celebrated with dinner, cake, and drinks.
I am so happy for Evan & Estela as they start their new life together! It was a pleasure getting to work with them and capture such an incredible moment in their lives.
