I love photographing at new places and I was so excited when Keoni and Eunice wanted to have their engagement session at the Stanford Cactus Garden. I just love cactuses and this was an entire garden full of them. Keoni and Eunice also wanted to include their cute pup and of course I said yes! Since he can’t be at the wedding, he at least got to be a part of their engagement session. He did such a good job despite all the distractions and he was so friendly and cute!
Keoni and Eunice are so sweet. They were so much fun to capture. Their connection is so strong and they had the best chemistry. We photographed all over the cactus garden. I may have run into a pokey cactus once or twice, but it was so worth it!
They are getting married in my home town at the Livermore Community Center and I am so excited for them.
This next photo not only did I run into a cactus but Keoni accidentally walked into one as well! No one was harmed and it made for some good laughs.
Most of my couples always tell me they don’t want posed pictures. But it is okay to be posed, not all poses are stiff and boring. One of my favorite “poses” or “prompts” is having my couples dance. They make for great candid shots. It is a way to loosen up, enjoy each other, and have some fun!
