Carmel is just one of those places I will never get tired of photographing at. The town is beautiful, with fairytale style cottages, the cutest boutiques, delicious food, and the beach! Anytime my couples want Carmel engagement photos, I am so ecstatic. For Marissa and Matt’s engagement session, we started in the heart of downtown Carmel. We walked around and just stopped at every cute little spot we could find, which there were plenty! We then headed to the beach and finished the session off running through the ocean.
They enjoy Carmel and all it has to offer and thought it was the perfect spot for their session. As we were walking around downtown Carmel, I saw this cute alley way and we stopped for some pictures. What I did not realize was there was a restaurant with a huge window with a table full of people there. These sweet women got a show and they were having a great time watching Matt and Marissa pose in front of the camera. One of the ladies even stuck her tongue out to get them to laugh and it worked! Matt and Marissa were not afraid or timid and thought it was funny that they had an audience.
Marissa and Matt are travel Nurses, from the east coast. They are on an assignment in the City. I always love when both my passions cross, Respiratory therapy (helping others) and photography. I love getting bonding over crazy situations we see in the hospital.
They are so very sweet, and funny, and we had a great time capturing beautiful photos and getting to know one another. They are getting married in Florida and I could not be more excited for them.
