Legion of Honor in SF Engagement Session | Josh + Gabi

Engagement

I absolutely love engagement sessions and all the beautiful places I get to photograph at. I had been wanting to photograph at the Legion of Honor in SF, so when Gabi and Josh chose to have their engagement session there, I was over the moon! Its beautiful pillars and building structure makes you feel like you are in Europe and it is a photographers heaven. We started the session inside the Pillars, and ended outside the grounds to get the beautiful sunset.

Gabi and Josh are two of the funnest couples! Not only do they have great sense of humors, but they have amazing chemistry. Josh is not about pictures but he did a great job and he made sure to point out how much I said “So Cute”. I couldn’t help it, the location and the two of them, I mean everything was so cute. We had a fun time getting to know each other and by the end of the session it was like we were great friends!

How They Met

Gabi found Josh on Bumble and messaged him “Saw Boston Go Sox”, I mean what a way to start a connection right! They had their first date on New Years day 2019 where they strolled through Lands End with his dog Bentley. Gabi loved his smile and how Josh could make her laugh without trying. It was a great start to the year and the rest was History.

The Ring

As Josh planned to propose to Gabi, he got her dads blessing and Josh took Gabi’s mothers engagement ring and worked with his mom to create the most perfect ring imagine-able. The engagement ring is a combination of her mothers ring, his mothers ring, and new stones from Josh to signify their future together.

The Proposal

With Christmas being Gabi’s favorite time of the year, Josh planned a Christmas proposal. On Christmas Eve they attended a light show at Gillette Stadium (home of the Patriots). When the show was over, Josh got down on one knee and asked Gabi to marry him. Gabi said ” Only Josh could have made that day and time of year even more magical for me”. When they got home, Josh had set up a surprise zoom call with all of her friends. He knew how to make the moment special despite Covid world.

As they wait for their wedding day they love spending their time their time with their two dogs, watching Boston sports games, trying out new restaurants, and taking long city walks. They are the type of people that say “Oh we can walk that”, which always makes for fun walks for them.

I am so excited for their wedding day next month. It is going to be the best day ever and I just know their wedding reception is going to be WILD! Stay Tuned for their wedding blog, I am sure you will not want to miss it.
