When planning your engagement session picking the perfect location isn’t always easy. Theres beaches, redwoods, historical landmarks, the options are endless. The best location isn’t always a known place, it can be somewhere that means something to you and your significant other. Gabrielle and Mike wanted their fall engagement photos in a place that held meaning to them. Mike’s grandparents own a beautiful home in Placerville with land and a pond! It ended up being the best location for them and the pictures turned out stunning!
Mike and Gabrielle are so sweet and it was a blast getting to know them. I even got to meet their precious little girl and take a couple family photos of them.
Gabrielle was getting ready to apply for a job at the police department and wanted to get experience with handling a fire arm. She was in a womens civilian into hand guns class and needed help loading the firearm. Mike was working as a range safety officer and helped Gabrielle. She remembers the moment as being a “damsel in distress”, and this was their first interaction together. They later connected online and the rest is history.
Mike started dirt track racing and had their family come to his first race at the Antioch Speedway. After his race, he surprised Gabrielle and proposed to her. Gabrielle claims to be hard to surprise but also said he left so many smoke screens that she can’t believe she missed the signs. He wanted her to wear a dress to a dirt track and he tackled the track into letting her drive a push car to start the race. With Covid in full string she was trying to avoid it all, but her mom told her to go with the flow. Well it ended in her getting engaged and it was all worth it!
