Engagement

One of the most amazing things about where we live is that you have so much beauty all around us. The beach, the redwoods, the mountains, the dessert, I mean wow! Dan and Leeann had their engagement photos at Joaquin Miller Park and it was a gorgeous day. We had blue skies, the sun was shining bright, and little to no crowds.

How They Met

Dan and Leeann both attended UC San Diego where Dan was on the baseball team and Leeann on the basketball team. They met while at a “Rep your City” party. Dan was wearing an LA dodgers jersey and Leeann was wearing a SF Giants jersey. They say opposites attract right, so obviously as rival fans they had something to talk about! They hit it off, started dating and now spend their time coaching basketball and baseball at the local high school, hiking, traveling, and going on camping adventures.

Dan and Leeann foster puppy’s and train them to be guide dogs for the Blind. They are the sweetest people and have amazing hearts. I have no idea how they can give these cuties up, but they are helping the blind and that is just amazing. The love they have for each other and for animals is beautiful. These dogs are so lucky to have Leeann and Dan raising and loving on them.

The Proposal

Dan proposed to Leeann in a place special to her. Ever since a little kid, Leeann and her family would visit Sea Ranch, Ca. Leeann also loves the ocean, she majored in marine biology in college. Knowing that this small town had meaning to her, and her love for the ocean, Dan proposed to Leeann on the beach in Sea Ranch. It was so thoughtful and perfect.

It was so much fun including Nighthawk and Lucy in their engagement photos. Though they won’t have them for long, Leeann and Dan get to have a memory of them forever. The puppy’s did so good and stole the show at times. I will never get tired of shooting couples and their animals. I got to love on them and they were oh so sweet.
